Without the lyrics Maria sent me initially, which to me conjured up a vision of someone in a cafe in Paris missing their lover on the other side of the world...I thought it begged for music that had a smokey bar, old jazz feel - something I had never composed or written before...And now, musically, that has influenced some of my recent songwriting.
